The Body Breakouts Treatment Pack comprises two key products: Follicure and  Chemical Peel Spray. Each contains potent, scientifically proven ingredients. The cleanser's active component, Zinc Pyrithione, is a formidable antimicrobial, interrupting the life cycle of P. acnes bacteria, often a key contributor to acne. This mechanism aids in reducing inflammation and breakouts, promoting clearer skin.

The subsequent product, a Chemical Peel Spray, carries an optimal pH-balanced mixture of 10% Glycolic acid and 3% Salicylic acid. Glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), promotes exfoliation, removing dead skin cells and revealing a fresh, smooth skin layer. Concurrently, Salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), penetrates deeply into pores, dissolving sebum and debris to prevent clogging. This combination assists in combating active acne, preventing new breakouts, and reducing post-acne marks.

An integrated approach to body acne management, this pack employs multiple therapeutic modalities, optimizing results by targeting various acne pathogeneses simultaneously.

  • Slightly wet your fingers and apply Medi-Zinc Cleanser to the affected areas daily.
  • Keep the product in contact with your skin for at least 5 min. This will allow the product to penetrate the follicles optimally. Tip: Keep the cleanser on your skin while you brush your teeth/bath, or get dressed.
  • Consistent application of Medi-Zinc Cleanser will result in continuous antimicrobial activity.
  • Apply Chemical Peel Spray on affected areas. Spray on the area and gently rub it in with your fingers.
  • If sensitivity occurs, reduce the application frequency of Chemical Peel spray. Don't apply on open wounds.

  • The excretion of lipids by the sebaceous glands is controlled hormonally.
  • The sebaceous glands are located all over the body but are the largest and most numerous in the face, back, chest, and shoulders.
  • These glands become more active during puberty because of increased androgens, particularly testosterone, which spurs sebum production.
  • This imbalance between sebum production and secretion capacity leads to a blockage of sebum in the hair follicle, followed by inflammation.
  • Hormones continue to affect sebaceous gland activity into adulthood.

  • The first stage of acne is also known as comedogenesis (formation of comedones).
  • The exfoliated dead skin cells stick together inside the hair follicle, resulting in a clogged pore or comedone. 
  • This is caused by several factors, including:
  • Increased amounts of sebum.
  • Inflammation of the sides of the hair follicle prevents the release of the exfoliated keratinocytes.
  • Increased cohesion of keratinocytes.

Glycolic acid breaks bonds between dead skin cells, unclogging pores and removing debris, contributing to breakouts.

Salicylic acid decongests pores by dissolving and extracting dirt, oil, and cell debris in pores and follicles.

  • When severe, this can lead to scarring.
