A cutting-edge product formulated to restore the skin barrier function on a physiological level. With its Triple Physiological Lipid-based Technology, this ultra-advanced formula combines various moisturizing agents to create an intelligent moisturizing complex.

It contains patented intelligent hydration technology that operates through a dual mechanism to optimize skin moisturization. Firstly, it forms an intelligent structural layer on the skin's surface, providing immediate hydration and sealing in moisture. Secondly, it regulates water loss from within by reinforcing the skin's natural barrier, preventing excessive moisture evaporation.

Enriched™ is particularly effective for individuals with very dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and ichthyosis. By replenishing the skin's essential lipids and lamellar bilayers, this intensely moisturizing complex promotes optimal recovery for dry skin and aids in repairing impaired barrier function.

The results of using Enriched™ are remarkable. Your skin will experience a newfound smoothness with deep hydration that lasts. Moreover, your skin’s resilience will improve, allowing it to withstand external aggressors better and maintain optimal health.

Essential Fatty Acids

Essential Fatty Acids: Nourishing Your Skin from Within

In the realm of dermatological science, essential fatty acids (EFAs) have emerged as unsung heroes, offering a multifaceted approach to improving skin health in patients with conditions such as eczema and dry skin.

d-Panthenol

d-Panthenol's multifaceted effects on skin hydration, barrier strengthening, and wound healing make it a valuable component in the management of various dermatological conditions, from dry skin to post-procedure care.

d-Panthenol, also known as pro-vitamin B5, is a popular dermatological ingredient due to its beneficial effects on the skin. Here's a brief overview of its physiological effects and roles in managing various skin conditions:

Mdl

Medilan™'s unique formulation and hypoallergenic properties make it a valuable component in managing various dermatological conditions, particularly for hydrating and soothing sensitive and dry skin.

Medilan™, an ultra-refined, hypoallergenic medical-grade lanolin, has proven to be very beneficial for managing dermatological conditions. Below is a brief overview of its physiological effects and roles in managing various skin conditions.

Nc4

Niacinamide offers several benefits for the skin, primarily due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It reduces the redness and inflammation associated with acne, rosacea, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Additionally, niacinamide's ability to improve the skin's barrier function benefits all skin types, particularly those with eczema or mature skin.

Another significant benefit of niacinamide is its role in reducing hyperpigmentation. Studies have shown that it can decrease the transfer of melanin to the epidermis, helping to fade dark spots and even out skin tone.

Niacinamide also plays a role in reducing the visible signs of aging. It has been found to stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Its antioxidant properties further protect the skin from environmental damage, such as pollution and UV radiation, which contribute to premature aging.

The efficacy of niacinamide and its ability to address multiple skin concerns simultaneously has led to its growing popularity in both over-the-counter and prescription skincare formulations.

Ceramides

Ceramides, a family of lipid molecules naturally present in the skin, are integral to the structure and function of the skin barrier. They are a type of lipid that, along with cholesterol and fatty acids, forms a critical part of the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. This layer is essential for maintaining skin hydration and protecting against environmental aggressors.

Ceramides, which make up about 50% of the skin's lipid composition, play a pivotal role in maintaining the skin's barrier integrity and preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). By doing so, they help keep the skin hydrated and supple.

The loss or reduction of ceramides in the skin barrier is associated with several dermatological conditions, including eczema and psoriasis, where the skin becomes dry, itchy, and prone to irritation and infection. Studies have shown that the application of ceramide-containing moisturizers can effectively improve skin barrier function and increase skin hydration levels.

Ceramides are particularly beneficial for aging skin, which naturally loses ceramides over time, leading to drier and more fragile skin. By replenishing the skin's ceramide content, these products can help combat the signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

Ceramides are integral to maintaining skin health, particularly in conditions where the skin barrier is compromised. Their role in hydrating the skin, reducing sensitivity, and improving barrier function makes them an essential component in the management of various dermatological conditions, especially eczema, psoriasis, and dry or aging skin.

  • Psoriasis: Aids in the management of psoriasis by moisturizing the skin, reducing redness, and supporting the skin's natural barrier function.
  • Ichthyosis: Effective in addressing the scaling, roughness, and excessive dryness associated with ichthyosis, a genetic disorder that impairs the skin's ability to retain moisture.
  • Impaired barrier function: The product aids in restoring the physiological barrier function of the skin, which can be compromised due to various factors such as aging, environmental stressors, or certain skin conditions.

Time of application: Apply in the morning and/or evening on cleansed skin after treatment serums.

Frequency of application: Use daily and/or evening or follow your Dermal Diagnosis treatment plan directions.

Apply Enriched to damp skin. Moisturizers are most effective if you use them while your skin is damp because damp skin absorbs the product more readily. That also gives the moisturizer a chance to lock in that hydration.

moisturizing & barrier repair

  • Lipid Bilayer Technology amplifies lipid production and replenish the lamellar bilayers that are critical for normal barrier function and antimicrobial defence.
  • They are quickly absorbed into the underlying nucleated cell layers, where they incorporate into lamellar bodies.
  • This Barrier Repair Therapy furthermore reduce inflammation by several mechanisms, leading to a smoother surface with less friction and greater light refraction.

Replenish lipid bilayers critical for normal barrier function.

  • Emollients soften and smooth the skin. They function by filling the gaps between skin cells and replace missing lipids.
  • They function by filling the gaps between skin cells and replacing the missing lipids.
  • Emollients flatten the curled edges of the individual skin cells (corneocytes), leading to a smoother surface with less friction and greater light refraction.

Fill the gaps between skin cells and replace missing lipids.

  • Humectants are water-soluble materials with high water absorption capabilities.
  • They draw moisture from the air into the skin and/or draw moisture from the dermis into the epidermis.
  • Humectants can help to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by plumping up the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance.

Attract water to the skin to maintain its moisture balance.

  • Creates a protective layer on top of the skin that locks in moisture and prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
  • The barrier formed by occlusives also protects the skin from external irritants such as pollutants, allergens, and harsh weather conditions, contributing to skin sensitivity and damage.
  • For dry, cracked, or irritated skin, occlusives provide immediate relief by covering the affected area and preventing further moisture loss, allowing the skin to heal more effectively.

Creates a protective layer on top of skin to lock moisture in.

Dermexcel Is Exceptionally Good!

I have been using the Dermexcel range of products for close to 5 years and am as happy as the day I started using the wonderful products. The Pore Control Cleanser is just magnificent, it keeps my skin's texture moist and soft and keeps pores refined. I follow up after cleansing with the Collagen Serum and my skin thanks me for it daily. The DermNourish moisturiser keeps my skin soft and plump. The Time Freeze Eye Serum is an absolute keeper for the under eye area and crows feet.In winter I use the Enriched moisturiser to combat the harsh winter in Gauteng and it is a total life saver. I recently started using Dermalytic on my hands, feet, upper arms and the back of my legs and I am pleasantly surprised at how well this product works. The Firsthand Treatment is a fantastic moisturiser for hands during the day and my hands already looks smoother with a more even skin tone. Last but not least the Lip Butter is THE BEST!
